Privacy Policy
Pass Panic is built on a simple promise: collect as little data as possible and be fully transparent about everything we do.
Short version: Pass Panic does not collect your name, email, or any personal information. There is no account system. The app works fully offline. The only third-party service involved is Apple's App Store — for handling in-app purchases — which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
01 Who We Are
Pass Panic ("the app," "we," "us," or "our") is an iOS party game developed and maintained as an independent project. The app is distributed through Apple's App Store under the developer account associated with [email protected].
This Privacy Policy applies to the Pass Panic iOS application and the accompanying website.
02 Information We Do Not Collect
Pass Panic is designed to work without collecting personal information. We do not collect or store:
- Name, email address, phone number, or any contact information
- Account credentials — there is no account system
- Location data of any kind
- Camera, microphone, or photo library access
- Contacts or calendar data
- Health or biometric data
- Gameplay history, scores, or session recordings
- Device advertising identifiers
All game state (current round, player names, selected category) exists only in memory and is discarded when you close the app.
03 Automatic Data Collection
Apple may collect anonymized, aggregated crash reports and usage metrics through standard iOS frameworks when you have opted in to "Share App Analytics" in your device settings. This data is provided to us in aggregate form only — for example, crash frequency or app version adoption — and cannot be used to identify you individually.
We do not integrate any analytics SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or Amplitude) into the app. There is no third-party tracking code in Pass Panic, and no App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt will be shown.
04 In-App Purchases
Pass Panic offers optional one-time in-app purchases — individual category packs and a bundle that unlocks all premium content — processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not see, receive, or store your payment information. All billing is handled by Apple and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Purchase receipts are validated on-device using Apple's StoreKit framework. No purchase data is transmitted to any server because Pass Panic operates no servers.
05 Children's Privacy
Pass Panic is intended for general audiences. Category packs with mature content are rated 17+ and are only accessible to users who complete Apple's age verification flow.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, no special handling for children is required beyond what Apple's platform already enforces.
If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details in Section 10 and we will address it immediately.
06 Data Retention
Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Any data collected by Apple — such as crash reports or App Store metrics — is governed by Apple's own retention policies.
In-app purchase records are maintained by Apple and accessible to you through your Apple ID purchase history.
07 Third-Party Services
The following third-party service is involved in Pass Panic's operation:
- Apple App Store — app distribution, in-app purchases, and optional crash reporting. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of Apple. We encourage you to review their policy directly.
08 Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data — including the right to access, delete, or port it, or to opt out of its sale. Since Pass Panic collects no personal data directly, most of these rights are exercisable against Apple (for App Store data) rather than against us.
You may contact us at any time and we will direct you to the appropriate party or assist where we are able.
09 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when we add new features that involve data processing. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users through the App Store release notes.
Continued use of the app after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
